it's always something..

After Dd3 got her good news I thought we would be ok for a while. Halloween is my favorite holiday and we went to a ton costume partys. Then mom got the news that she either did surgery or she didn't have much time left. Mom did what she does which is rent a (absolutely plush, gorgeous, 3 story) house on the beach for 5 days for a retreat with  me and my 2 sisters. Fun. Maybe. Sorta. While we're bonding we are going to work on a memory quilt for mom. We made one for her sister when she was battling cancer. You get pictures of everyone in the family and print them out on quilt squares. That way when you're in the hospital and recovery you have the whole family with you all the time. That should take about 2 days, the rest will just be us being silly mixed in the long walks on the beach for me and my camera. We've done this a couple times already and none of them have even touched sand. Go to the beach and not even see the water? Then why pick the beach? Strange. Oh well, more beach for me. Counting down...9 more days...

My Dd2 called me to tell me that her baby clock stopped. Even though she has been battling cardiomyothapy for 5 years she felt she could still have a baby. Last week she was diagnosed with MS. Who the hell does that?! Who the hell gets MS on top of having to fight the whole heart thing every day?! Her difficulty swallowing was what started the numerous trips to the docs. After tests were done we know that her balance is gone, her fine motor skills are gone, her extremity feeling is gone, her swallowing is down to allowing her to swallow about 4 times in a row and then it forgets how to work and she can aspirate. All in 2 months.  I just...? What do you say? What do you do? The other 4 are so healthy and the one is declining so fast... As soon as she gets a handle on things she gets hit with something else. Job comes to mind. Is she being tested for something? I just... I don't know... more research needed.

2 I think...:
